looking to do a amg 5.5 conversion on my w220 s500.

i know projectc55 has done it with much success.


whats needed to do a successful install.


is it just take out the old 5.0 drop in the 5.5 and its done??


what about ecu??tranny?

Considering I've seen 55 motors for no less than $5K in good shape I would think another grand for the swape maybe? It may be the same to sell and pick up an S55. Then you get nice brakes and such also.

i dont wanna go forced induction as its not a good idea for the 4matic system with that much torque.

im getting ready to purchase a 09 z06, but i just wanna give my car some more hp and looking to move my mods to the na 55 motor, including my evosport headers, 55k intake, evosport pulleys, evosport igintion stage 1 and evosport ecu tune. around 400hp and 450tq is enough for me in the sclass.


So what do i gotta do to get this project properly finished as im going to mostly likely pick up the motor tomm or friday.

any updates??
