What kind of tires? Drag radials or stockers and which rims did you use?? The C32 guys, Loungin, C32used, Jerry and myself always seem to be "tractionally challenged" and the only thing that seems to work is a Quaife or Drag radials. How you can get such good traction must be a function of track prep or location? FYI, I ran Mich Pilot Sport IIs for my best run ever at 12.7 at 30 LBS PSI rear and 35 front, BUT even then, all I did was spin for about 100 feet. In fact, I went slideways several times on Sat after a great launch and had to get out of the gas.
It was a big NHRA event with a test n tune lane. so really anyone could race. Cars were running in the 8's so the track was just super sticky. I ran my 12.9 on street tires(nitto 555's extreme performance) and my heavy black rims.
