I did it!!!
Last night at the drags I ran a 12.99 at 107.779mph. My fastest time ever. Good thing i spit out my gum or the add weight would have put me back in the 13's. Traction was amazing. Big thanks to member cruzinquick for getting me to go to the track. The D/A at race time was 2800+ft.

Congrats! Now, you'll have to raise the bar!! Just curious but do you still have your stock C55rims? I'm wondering how much of a difference it would be if you put those babies back on with some good rubber?

Have you come across any M3s, RS4s or IS-Fs at the track yet??
Oh, and once again, you're making me want to go spend money on my car again!

I did...a 12.2 and a 12.3
On the 12.2 my 60ft seems quite off (warp speed), so I am tossing that run as I don't feel right without another run at that, and with a broken car not doing that anytime soon...
Now....shoot for 11's

Your welcome, I won't be there friday night, but get in the trophy race and represent. Hopefully I get some hardware at the race I'm going to this coming weekend. Only 2 friday nights left before it switches to sunday's, so don't waste the good weather. You might chew a little more off that number.
I'd find a nice 16" and put some hoosiers on them instead of wasting money on monolites with a inefficient drag radial that have too small of a sidewall.

We can only wish for that kind of traction here (or shall I say Tracshun?? )
What kind of tires? Drag radials or stockers and which rims did you use?? The C32 guys, Loungin, C32used, Jerry and myself always seem to be "tractionally challenged" and the only thing that seems to work is a Quaife or Drag radials. How you can get such good traction must be a function of track prep or location? FYI, I ran Mich Pilot Sport IIs for my best run ever at 12.7 at 30 LBS PSI rear and 35 front, BUT even then, all I did was spin for about 100 feet. In fact, I went slideways several times on Sat after a great launch and had to get out of the gas.

It's track prep. The key is to find a test n' tune during a very big event with very fast cars. Usually after the first 2 qualifying sessions enough rubber is left at the start line to make stock tires stick like drag radials. You may have to wait a long time for 3 passes, but it's well worth it.
