Just purchased 02 C32.............
Hello all.After purchasing a 99 C43 last week,my cousin who is considered my big bro loved the car so much,I sold it to him! Sooooo, Today we went to a local acura dealer who had a 02 c32,silver w/63k on it.Had many service records and was just serviced by MB and gone over with a clean bill of health(saw the report).Well one drive did it!! Where the c43 lacked the c32 flourished.Must quicker minus the v8 sound though
.Needless to say I bought it.The car is very clean only blemish minor curb rash on two wheels.They wanted $17,999 and I GOT IT FOR $ 16,999.So I am very happy.My biggest concern is a warranty as the acura dlr quoted me like $4000 for a 2 yr powertrain only
WTF.CAN THIS BE RIGHT? Can I buy an extended warranty through a MB dlr or an independant warr. co.Anyone with any experience/suggestions.Thanks!

No, you cant buy an extended warranty through MB. Actually, if you bought the car at an MB dealership and the C32 was not CPO'd the warranty that they would offer to sell you would be similiar to the warranty to the one that Acura offered.
I bought a used E39 M5 several years ago. The M5 was out of its manufacturers warranty but they did offer to me a Bronze, Silver or Gold Standard warranty through another company. I bought the Silver version which covered alot of stuff... just in case.
Well, the headlight would fog up when I washed the car. And the rearview mirror "autodimmer" stopped working. Brought it to the dealership and they denied my claim.
"The headlight has a leaking gasket and gaskets are not covered. And the rearview mirror... blah blah blah..."

So, warranties are great. I would say look at them carefully but there are always hidden clauses to "get you"! I really dont mean to sound like a downer.

not a bad price, congrats on the new car. Yeah for that price the warranty is not worth it, its more then 25% the value of the car. The car is pretty solid except for the common problems which has the diy fixes on the forum.
