To everyone who's had the lurching/1500 rpm issue...

To everyone who's had the lurching/1500 rpm issue...
with their tranny. Did you also have a problem when you were slowing for a stoplight and it turns green at the last second so you go to get back on the gas a little and the car jumps into a gear and lurches forward awkwardly? It is like the car can't figure out what gear to be in.
I'm going in for my 1st "A" service in a couple of weeks and I'm taking a copy of the thread about replacing the trans. module with an '03 model. My car is an '02. I hope to get all the '03 software downloaded as well. Any other issues that you think could cause this?

From what I've read, there is no software upgrade. You have to replace the entire tranny computer box. The part number is the same for the 2002 and 2003 boxes, which makes things really confusing. Just have to hope whatever is in stock at the parts counter is manufactured for 2003.
