LOL
and i know this is becoming from like BEYOND left field (beyond beyond beyond), but what about swapping in a different motor? i doubt you want to do that after all of your work on this one. some motors have a lot left on the table. I'm not suggesting what motor, but I know on Brock's LS1, his car with the right mods (minus nitrous) can trap 126 in Tucson on 91 all day (seen it). crate LS2 motors can cost 7K and LS7 up to 14 or 15.....which is definitely expensive, and which is why this is a highly improbable and unlikely idea, but i'm just throwing it out there. those cars, you can mod the daylights out of them.
probably near impossible to swap a non MB motor into a newer MB anyway with all of electrical and computer issues that would come up

FWIW, I'd just get a 55K before doing all that... YMMV, of course.
Making ~500-540HP at the crank has to make a significant difference compared to what any N/A 55 car has.
hooley.....save your bucks......wait until the significant other "relaxes" a bit.......and then supercharge your C55.
Again, this assumes you really want to keep your C55, because the other obvious option is to get another car altogether so you start off with a lot more power even when stock (like a E55/CLS55, etc, etc).

1) Does she have a job? If yes, ask her what she is planning on buying you as an engagement gift. My wife got a diamond ring, and I got a Rolex.
2) Tell her you want to be fair and understand her need for a validation of your commitment to her and you want to start demonstrating that validation immediately. for her sake, of course. Every pay day take $1,000 (money variable by your financial situation) and put it aside. $500 for the engagement gifts (one ring for her, and one whatever for you). $500 for the Supercharger.

keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't fall through.
