Rear Seat Belts Questions

Last week, the weather was like -20 degree celcius here at night and I parked my car outside for about 3 to 4 hours. When I was about to leave, I pulled the seatbelts on the passenger and driver sides but they could not retract back.

As a result, I had to let the 2 passengers to take another car because the seat belts were not working. After I arrived home and parked the car in the garage, I checked the seatbelts after a couple of hours and they worked normally.

Is this normal to Mercedes vehicles?

was your foot on the brake?

not sure if it would help, but you could do a system/throttle reboot, that typically helps any little kinks i have with my car like the audio not working, etc.
