I like this car..
it would be a super nice commuter car..
probably will weigh around 4200+ and will never equal a BMW..
but to haul family and have some sport at the same time is perfect.
Add a bigger IC and chip.. and will be pushing 400+ very easily.
The only down side maybe the durability of AWD and too much power.

I'm really considering a Lincold MKT for my next family car or even a Ford Flex with this engine as well.

I really love that car though. Even though this EcoBoost engine in all Ford, I'd own that Taurus for a DD in a heartbeat.

The front looks like a Camry and the rear looks similar to a Volkswagen Jetta-Passat. Either way it looks good and here's to an optimistic future for American car companies. I just wish we could get proper built cars even at an entry level model. A lot of US auto makers sacrifice aesthetics to produce a cheaper car for the same value as Foregin auto makers.

This is pretty cool. A lot of companies did say that they were going to phase in more of these smaller displacement, turbo engines.

You could whip that puppy into shape I bet. Im really impressed with that car. I want the American auto industry to survive and this SHO really was an eye opener. I see why Ford is leading the way. Their latest offerings look very competitive.
A new division of VRP is on the way!

white and whiter
doesn't look very SHO IMO. the engine sounds plenty nice. would we see this engine make its way into cars that actually make a difference? something like the Mustang would be great.

I'm still gun-shy of any of the Taurus monikered products. Granted new platform and all but in my former life as a po po we had one year that we bought the Taurus for patrol duty. We measured their mileage in trannys and motor mounts. Absolute horrible POS's for use as a police car. Even with the 'heavy duty police interceptor' option. Garbage through and through.

03 g35 coupe...........02 c32 Sold
looks like a great car, but i think the pricing is little high. For $2k more you can get a 335i. I think this car would be a great buy if you just wait 2yrs and buy them for half off on the used car market.

One Ford product i like they should bring over here is my Falcon i had while I did my walkabout in Australia last year. You can get it with the old Cobra V-8 (pre supercharger days)
It also has rear wheel drive, 302 hp motor and comfy seats. It's smaller than a crown vic but larger than a taurus. Thats the indian ocean in the background.
Even the interior is nice.......

Sticker is 40k, but we all know it about 6 months it will have employee pricing and 1% financing and other discounts.
This car is priced very well compared to its competition. Acura RL, TL G37x, C350, Avalon, Accord, Camry
and yes.. one could have a base 335 xi for a few more grand. (not including the used car market)
But its the only 3.5 TT motor I can think of right now out of a few v6 turbo engines.... Saab only uses a 2.8v6, Bimmer a 3L, Nissan has a super 3.8L, Porsche 911TT, Audi will use a Kompressor
Aside from the V8TT and V8 kompressor engines.. I think this DI 3.5L TT engine is way ahead of its class.
To me a 3.5L motor is a perfect platform. Its very flexible.
This could be a rebirth of a company, like back in 2001 with infiniti. They were able to place the 3.5L across the entire line up and were way ahead of its competition.
Until Toyota went to the 3.5 and BMW killed everybody with the TT.
Don't get me wrong this car will not be the answer to Ford, but it they continue on this path.. and place this engine in trucks, mustang and other products.. I hate to say it.. but they have my attention.
F150 with this engine.. sing me up!
