washed & waxed

I got the car detailed, and figured I would snap some pictures before it gets dirty again.

Previous owner removed it, along with the v6 kompressor emblems on the sides.

Nice, I've always kinda wanted to do that. Makes it look even more like a sleeper and people will THINK you just added an AMG badge.

Like yesterday, I saw an 02' or 03' CLK320 and he removed the 0 and added an AMG badge. When I pulled up on it I was like

One of a kind, CLK32.

When I was down in FL last month, I saw an SL550 with an AMG badge on it. It was a beautiful car, but the badge detracted from the appearance because it was obviously not an AMG.

I thought about getting the badges for the back and sides, but decided to just leave it the way it is. It keeps people guessing. Plus, with no kompressor badges on the sides people who don't know about these cars won't know it's supercharged until it's too late.

Actually nowadays, the dealer sells what they call "AMG styling packages" where the cars have the AMG body kit and wheels; and thus they are also marked with an AMG badge in the rear.

My Uncle just bought a new S550 with this kinda kit and it came with an AMG badge on it. I figure maybe this SL550 was the same.

Ahh, aren't poseurs wonderful!

I've seen a black w208 CLK430 on the Van Wyck a few times with an ///AMG logo and I just laugh. A few months ago I saw an ML32 AMG on the Williamsburg Bridge

I heard that badge adds 5HP!

Nice all you need is some C240 rims and your grandma in the front passenger seat and your ready to crash the bingo hall

I'm probably going to have to replace them as they aren't lining up right. The left one needs to be raised, but it won't go any higher, and the right one needs to be lowered, but it won't go down any further. lol
