how many qTs of oil do our C32 need?

8.5 if empty
If you drain from the bottom and have a dry filter it will be very close to 8.5.
Run the car for a few minutes to warm it up, then stop and wait a few minutes. Check the level with "dyno mode". It will give you some number like "7.5 Quarts", repeat if you are skeptical or it is unusual. (This electronic reading is your "dipstick" so you will refill to that level)
Drain your oil and then refill with a quantity LESS THAN 8.5 , say 8.0. Recheck via dyno mode. FILL WITH about half of what it suggests you might need to get back to the original basepoint ABOVE. Drive the car and then recheck.
The reason you use 1/2 of the difference it indicates, is it is a lot easier to add than remove when you overshoot. You will also see the dyno sensor reading is "touchy". Driving around to coat the engine has a large effect on the reading also.
