Cruise Control
I seldom have a chance (or desire) to use cruise control but
I noticed something different yesterday while using it on I-5.
I-5 has lots of cops using radar and I needed to make the very best time possible. So I set the thing at 82 in a 70, (they have bigger fish to catch on that road).
Anyway after setting to 82 and "putting" along I came across a section where I needed a little go-go so I tapped the shifter left and put it in 4 to pass. I assumed that the cruise would disengage on the downshift, but it never did. As I recall every car I have ever owned would disengage the cruise control if you shifted.
The AMG is nice because it doesn't. For example, you can find 82 in 3, 4 or 5 all with the same cruise setting.
Had the car for a year, but I have a feeling that I not the only one that didn't know this
