nice, sounds like the twin-screw was the way to go, to bad the company that build them went out of business...

Some more info from cory

The twin-screw superchargers were always stronger than the Eaton's, so we usually got more power from them compared to these new roots superchargers we're using. You got one of the good ones. :-)

We put a 70mm pulley on that car, 5mm smaller than what KLEEMANN supplies- maybe .5-.8 PSI more boost. Very safe since the car has the headers.
Weather is looking like rain here, which will cancel my EVO driving school

If that happens, I will get a dyno instead I need to get some fresh numbers on this thing.

That explains some of the higher power output, smaller pulley

Thing is, up to 0.5-0.6 bar the twin-screw and eaton are almost as efficient and would make the same power with the same set up. But if you add more boost to the twin-screw it will make lot more power then the eaton.

The cars i've seen making 500 RWHP on a M113 with the old-gen Kleemann twin-screw has been running as 'high' as 0.8-0.9 bar.

The truth was actually that Autorotor couldn't deliver as many S/C as Kleemann demanded when they where at a rising peak back in 2004-2005. So they switched to Eaton because they could deliver S/C at a higher flow then Autorotor. Later on Autorotor went out of business, but was later back again together with Lysholm in one way or the other. Hehe, a bit complicated

More pictures (with a lot higher megapixel) this weekend It is supposed to be 60 and clear here
This is the one that was on ebay a while ago, is it not?

You ran the 1/4 Mile ET at 11.06 with 410rwhp so I wonder what his S7 with 537rwhp will do with the proper tires. I imagine mid-10s easy and that time would best all AMGs on Dragtimes...until my car is ready..

i have a feeling either a) my ca makes alot more than 410whp or b) his makes alot less. I have more mods. I seriously doubt that car will go mid tens.

Blackbenzz is right, you will be disapointed in the launch form the A6's. Corning capability is MUCH different then launching my friend. I took some BFG R1's to the drag on my 500+ stang. Couldn't even break a 2.0 60' time do to spinning. Switched back to my old Goodyear GSC's and wella, 1.8's.

If you REALLY want to drag race, you REALLY need a DRAG tire, IMHO

See yeah

Thats all great info. Saves me from burning up a heat cycle on the A6's. I will look into a set of drag tires any recommendations?

There is a wednesday night fun drags at Gateway International Speedway next week i believe (just outside of st.louis)... hrmm

How do you think the Michelin Pilot Sport SP2 will do? I have a feeling its going to take some getting used to launching. In my C32 I could achieve a 2.00 flat with street tires. Guess the only way is to try (and have wife take video)

I would recommend Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials or Hooiser drag radials. I may be selling my ET Street Radials shortly but they are for a 16" wheel. You will hard pressed to break traction on these bad boys when heated up. Please go to the track as I would love to see what your car traps. I am going to the track tomorrow with more stuff done as long as the snow melts off the track lol. I will try to redyno saturday as well. My car should theoretically be making alot more than 410whp.

.
My recently purchased KLEEMANN kit came with a 71mm pulley. Maybe the pulleys where 75mm a few years ago with the twin-screw setup?

When I ran the 11.0 @ 124 my car was basically full weight and then some. Stock W208 CLK55 weighs like 3450lbs right? Mine had to weigh more because of the supercharger and related things. Not to mention I had 19" wheels in the front, and some junk in my car. With me in it it should weigh well over 1650kgs (3630lbs). It will be interesting how it runs tomorrow since it should weigh 150+lbs less

Yes, then you will have quite alot more then 410 on the wheels. More like 450-470 if I was about to guess. 124 trap on a 1650 Kg car is really respectful. Let us know this weekend how it went for you! Good luck

Exactly. However I say he has over 500whp easily to be running 11.0's at 124mph. No question.

Dont want to thread hijack so I will only make this one post regarding this. There is a thread in the W211 E55 subforum about it. Well CCW sent me the wrong spacers for their wheels so I couldnt run my sticky micey thompsons but a friend let me use his bfg drag radials on 18's. I couldn't launch hard because it would break the tires loose. On the CCWs I was cutting 1.55 60's but as you can see in the vid I couldnt get near that on the bfgs. I finished the day with a best of 11.00 @ 125.6mph Thats a new non nitrous 55 record and CLK record

you should post your 11.03 ET on Dragtimes for official posterity along with a video clip. btw... Are you saying that all the E55s with with sub-11 ETs were on juice??? So you never hit the bottle on any of your runs? I know you disclosed that you were equipped with NOS. So what what was your official NOS ET? I'm sure you would record one WITH NOS just to see how much better your time would be.

I dont want to post my time on dragtimes until I feel I have run what it is capable of and 11.00 isn't it.

Yes all the E55 with sub 11 ET's that I know of were on nitrous.

No, I never hit the bottle in any of my runs. I didn't even bring it to the track.
