Really need to practice launching

Going down to the track this Saturday, get some fresh numbers on this Kleemann... So i go ahead and try a few launches on a frontage road

Looooooooooots of wheelspin, its going to take some getting used to

Neither attempt was pinned to the floor. The first attempt was a short stab, but as I added more power, when it shifted into second, I got sideways a bit and had to lift.

Second attempt, a lot slower on acceleration, but once i add more power, it leaves a 70ft number 11 as I am laying a patch the whole time after 30mph

Gonna get some external video tomorrow i think ...in the day

**PS i know the CEL is back on, i had to order a gascap as its not sealed and causing me to get a damn CEL

Best tips for launching?
I also just keep spinning my tires and have pretty bad 0-60 times as a result.

I saw on the other forum that people were starting out manually in 1st gear and then letting it autoshift after that. They said it felt faster that way....

Thoughts?

TIA!

I just step on the gas and go. It's pretty simple, but helps with a nice set of hoosiers. Hit one my vids of the 11.97, it shows a good burnout and dryhop. That should heat them up pretty good.

none
Drag Radials and roll into the gas. There are some cars here pushing tens that are hooking up with the right tires. What do you plan on running in the 1/4? I did about 15 runs at the track last year trying to find the best launch combo. Winter mode, ESP on/off, Roll, Stab, etc... nothing made a difference. I will never go again without some DR's.

The car should be a high 11's if i can get it to hook. The only dyno i have includes the 18% tranny loss and its 537hp 554tq (so mid 400's to wheels)

Currently I have Michelin Pilot SP2's (265)

The previous owner gave me a timeslip (obviously i cant tell if it was his) but it was 11.557 @ 120.8mph; but that was done @ 10k miles with a set of Hoosiers and now its @ 50k miles

I guess I will see on saturday what she's got left in her.
