Help...neglected C55 refuses to start!
Alright, car's internal lights all turn on, steering wheel lowers, etc but the car will not start. Turn the key once to the final position and it just stops. Doesn't even sound it tries to turn over. The car hasn't been driven in maybe...2 months? I left it at home for school. So the battery is good...I'm guessing something with fuel? Please help, this was a bad way to start Spring Break.

Had the same issue with the S a few months ago. All the electronics worked fine, but there was no response at all when you turned the key past Position 2 to start. Culprits were two malfunctioning modules. The first was the key recognition sensor, and the second was one in the transmission which recognized what gear the car was in; it wouldn't recognize Park, thus preventing the car from starting. Cost about $1800 to replace both. But before you bite the bullet, try checking the voltage on the battery and the batteries in the key. Unfortunately, neither of those were the case for me, but you never know.

+1000...It's happened to me several times with the E55. I was probably only gone about 3 weeks at a time. I finally got tired of it and bought a CTEK battery charger for the main battery and then got another one for the the auxillary battery.
