Argument with an Evo...
Yeah, that got settled pretty quickly. It was even from a dig, too.
I think I'm happy enough with the power I have. Going to start focusing on handling now. I don't think I want to go all out though with coil-overs. Any objections with say...an Eibach spring kit w/thicker swaybars and Bilstein Sport Shocks?

Honestly-thats surprising-what Evo was it (VIII,IX, X?)-the X's are making less powa from the factory-but responding better to tunes then the 8-9's did (with bolt on support)-8-9's with intake exhaust and a mild tune are 300 to the wheels+ and weigh less then the C32-with AWD.....driver error?
Coming from an Evo X-the C55 wouldnt stand a chance-but the ride, road noise, and looks are a so much better-it was worth the trade (I'm guessing like many on here-theres a car to race in, and a DD to commute-Hooley has the best of both )

I lined up with a few Evos when I was stock, as were they, and it was a drivers race. If they smoked their clutch off the line they would have a slight lead and I would catch up on every shift till even.
As mentioned though, rarely are they left stock and they are absolute monsters with massive modding potential. Add the WRX (standard or STi) to the mix to watch out for.

EVO is quicker than a c32. a c32 is faster than an evo. I have both an evo and a c32 and I just tried it last week. The evo has real light mods which you cant call unfair becuase its already 1.2 litres smaller and supplies power to two extra wheels.

You're still stock though, correct? Cooling mods aren't much so you're saying your stock 32 isn't as quick as a lightly modded Evo, but the 32 is faster overall? Sounds about right. Give your 32 some "light mods" and go again. And quicker can be chalked up to traction to those two extra wheels pulling....

i feel it depends a lot about the driver. stock, i dont think they are quick. i was at the track and there were some stock and lightly modded EVO IXs and Xs trapping 95-98 when I was trapping 108-109 on my old code3 setup. But yah, if its heavily modded.....GL
interesting little thread here about stock turbo'd EVOs, to give you an idea about how quick they can be on stock turbo, whether stock or built/forged internals or meth, etc.

Haven't met a monster Evo yet but I'm sure they are out there. I did draw this one on the last track night before Kleemannizing.

Really a matter of displacement vs grip. The C63 looks really stupid when the tires don't hook.....just smile and wave as you do a 1/16 mile burnout.

Im on the hunt for an non-mod'd IX rs for the track-after everything I've driven-those evos prepped for track (road, not drag) eat about everything alive-and parts are plentiful

I think next time, I'll just ask about suspension outright in my topic thread. c.c
