Can anyone tell me if they've ordered the Carbon Fiber steering wheel (3 spoke) with tiptronic paddle shifters from Performance Products? I just purchased the last one in stock at a discounted price of $1K including tax and shipping from the Florida warehouse.

If so...did you like it? How much did it cost you to install it. I was quoted 1hr by a local MB dealer.

You beat me to the punch, I wanted that. However I'm not a fan of CF on the wheel where my hands go. it gets to slick. All I can tell you is it looks real nice.

The carbon fiber are on the top and inner bottoms. The 10 and 2 grip positions are still in leather. However sometimes I'll rest my wrist on the top of the wheel and that could get slippery. Sweaty palms would not work well on this wheel.

I think I got a decent deal considering any CF wheel WITH TIPTRONIC runs about $1700+. Now I am thinking of selling my VRP Carbon Fiber paddle shifters since the wheel has them built in.
