REV connects to a ad hoc network ; i.e the odb2 key must have a ad hoc peer to peer network running for your iphone to see... I will make a small video and upload

just saw this thread. this thing looks great. bluetooth is an option - i think the bluetooth data transfer rate is slower than wifi so the sampling rate may go down. i got an iphone so it's just a matter of getting the OBD2 plug

another REV fan

Got my kiwi wifi today and was playing around with REV (almost crashed) I noticed the IAT's are around 145 degrees however that being read from the MAF and its not the best place to read them on an intercooled car. I have my temp sensor relocated to after the intercooler and the reading on my dash was 99-105 degrees. so its about a 40 degree drop in temp after teh intercooler.

My engine coolant temps were around 215 degrees (kinda hot) Its also 100 degrees today out here in AZ.

All and all a great app to make you crash your car.

OT: You're getting your IATs to within 5 degrees of ambient?

Looks that way. I can feel the heat taking an effect on the car though. I'm headed to the drags Friday night just for S&G's. It will be my cars last trip to the strip until most of you have no leaves on your trees.

Once I get this boost loss figured out (think its an IC pump issue); I will be back at the track on some DR's; might not beat your 11.7x but figuring if i get my trap speed back up to the 116-119 range, with DR's i can get down in the high 11's with you hooley

Will this OBD2 to Wifi work with the Rev app? Its a hell of a lot cheaper than the others...

Kiwi adapters are about 10 bucks more than that and I know for a fact they work flawlessly with iphone, ipod, and android devices.

I think this is ok
My friend with a Skyline R35 and VW Golf, he bought a China made Kiwi and success to connect with his iPhone and cars, that china made Kiwi just cost about US$60. Really great.

I had a cheap knock-off adapter before the Kiwi. It was trash, slow data rate and errors all the time. Check eBay for a Kiwi.

all of the Kiwi ones seem to be going for around $150, the cheaper ones have basically the same description and it appears they have the same kind and speed of wifi...I wonder if they are just as fast?
