c55's are prone to oil leaks near the heads if they were babied too much. Aside from that and minor electronic bugs they're pretty much problem free.

Sometimes oil will seep from around the valve cover gasket. I don't believe it is a serious problem as long as your oil level is fine. All that really needs to be done is just to replace these. A very simple fix. The C55s are generally pretty good as as far as reliability and maintenance....

Famous issues with C55
1. Seat heaters.. I gave up on these.. Bottom part doesn't work.
2. CPS
3. A/C...
4. Oil / Transmission fluid leak: Seals were changed
5. Radio.. Sometime CD / Radio won't work.. After few hour, it goes back to normal. Weird huh?

I guess the next owner of my C55 will have nothing to worry about.

On a serious note, if the prior owner did take it easy, is it just that the gaskets don't seal well due to not enough heat or something? Is that something that is common with any high performance car that isn't driven as intended?
