C55 when released in usa

hi all i am in australia & just bought a december 2004 C55 i contacted tire rack to purchase a set of akebono pads less dust ? & was told C55 was released in usa in 2005 trying to ensure i get correct pads thanks.

yes they were released in 2005 in US

2005 & 2006 were the 2 model years for the C55 =)

dec 2004 = 2005 model.

2005-2006 for US and 2005-2007 for World wide.

I have them on my car and I like the fact i do not have to be cleaning the dust on my wheels after three stop signs.
The only complaint is that the pin holes in the pads fit slightly loose in the front caliper.
this is noticeable when shifting from drive to reverse and vice versa. I have been told to get a shim kit to fix this problem. I also had this problem on a porterfield set I had two years ago. I learned to live with it. Purchased those from Tire Rack as well.

C55 came out in Europe and Oceania in Feburary 2004 and was introduced to the US in the late summer of 2004. Hence why we call it a 2005.
I know this because of Ads i come across on Ebay.De and Ebay.co.uk, thats prob why u have a 2004 C55.
