This mod has been done yeeearrrs ago. I do agree that I prefer mine better than the safety car bumper. FYI, the fog surrounds also convert well into brake cooling ducts for the clk63bs brakes

New brakes installed today. Now if I just had some wiring harnesses I might be able to finish the rest of the mods???

I agree, great job on the bumper mod, and recall 1 other member who say's he has done this mod 'yearsssss ago'. But as you say never seen pictures as detailed as Russel's on this install. Well done mate, and as i said in an earlier post at least you have posted the evidence.

so you never came up with a parts list exactly... can you confirm numbers from this link of which I need to buy. So far I believe its 17, 18, 19, and 20 (minus the bumper itself) and the 3 grilles. And any idea if the C55 fogs will bolt into CLK63 bumper?
