2005 Red C55 AMG and 2009 Harley davidson NIghtster SIlver and black
Its weird. Yesterday I tried it again put in (M) mode and @ 60 mph i was at 2200 rpms and then @ 70 mph i was at 2550 rpms.
What could be the reason for one day being different.
The only thing I can think of is maybe I was in a different mode perhaps (S)

I DON'T COME HERE ANYMORE
rpms will vary on gearing and tire/wheel set up-load,distance,slope, ect will have no effect on rpm (Revolutions Per Minute-of the crankshaft....)

Hopefully nothing too serious.
My car is on 18's with a 255 rear tire. My RPMs are the same as alboogie. I just forgot what my rpm's were and wanted to see if i was in spec from doing the trans valve mod.

The TC is not in lock up at all times, its only activated under certain load/rpm conditions in certain gears.

Pretty sure the 5-speed is able to lockup the TC in ALL gears, even first and would absolutely be locked at the speeds we're talking about.

.
I tested this on a 6% grade on my way home today... Going up and going down at 60 MPH, the RPM is about 100 higher going up and 100 lower going down. I had to push a little harder on the gas to keep 60 MPH and I let off completely to coast down at 60. No cruise control this time, car did not up or down shift in S mode.

surprisingly they have been holding up ok. I've got the get my rear bumper reset. some one tapped it with their car and knocked the rear bumper out of wack on the pass side at the wheel well. So now i rub a bit over some bumps. Its hard to notice visually though so thats a good thing.

I've got my tire fund in the works knowing I'm going to need some soon. But yeah, I run 255's its a wonder why I can spin them any time i want. my car really needs a 295, but that inst happening.

give or take... if you look at the pictures I posted above, it show almost spot on to 2125RPM, going down hill it hovers just slightly above 2000 but not on it, and up hill slightly above the the half mark of 2125 but below 2250. With a reasonable amount of eyeball certainty I can defiantly say there is a difference up and down hill at 60 MPH
