C55 Fuel Filter DIY???

Before anyone flames me for not searching. I did search and was inconclusive with any good material on a DIY. So i wanted to bring up the question again. Is the fuel filter on a C55 DIY'able? since this last forum said that it's located inside the gas tank. and can someone confirm these part numbers?

Prior to chassis #740182, (build date 6/30/05) will require a 211 471 02 41 ‘mounting plate’, as well.

The C55’s fuel filter is an integral part of the fuel level sender:

Not trying to flame you but all I did to find this was go to the search up yop and type Fuel Filter and found this.

DIY Fuel Filter

Next time do a little bit more searching but good luck on the fuel filter.

You should’ve searched. :)

R&R my C32’s pump. Sorry, no DIY to share - but it’s not too challenging.
Used a brass punch in lieu of the ‘prong wrench’ to loosen its retainer.

Best to do it with a minimum quantity of fuel onboard.
Of course, be mindful of the ever-present fire hazard from breaching the system.

EPC shows the aforementioned part number(s) as still being applicable.

edit: Received your PM. Online vendors or your local wholesaler will likely prove the best value.

damnit... i just realized the c55 is nothing related to this DIY... *sigh* now i realize i've gotta get the fuel filter for the c55 and thats totally different

now refering to the correct process of removing a c55 fuel filter... do i really need to pump out the gas? and are the fuel filter and pump one and the same unit? from what i can tell, i think the pump is located on the right side and fuel filter is on the right side... according to the service manual though, they want us to remove the fuel pump when removing the fuel filter... I'm a bit confused here... i just went to the dealer and the parts guy said that the pump and fuel filter are one and the same part... and that i should replace it at 90k miles... but on the manual it clearly points to the units on the different side tanks... o.O a little help please?
