IC Pump or SC going bad?
Been having problems lately with my C32. Check Engine light is on. I had the IC pump replaced 2 years ago by Eric from LET Motorsports with a Johnson CM30. He did the install himself. Lately when I accelerate coming from a complete stop my car barely creeps up. Can be really dangerous especially during making a turn on an intersection. Can someone please verify what I need to do to fix this? Is this an IC pump failure, a SC failure or something else?
By the way the car also drives fine when I'm on the highway driving at atleast 65 mph once I get it going, just whenever I'm accelerating coming from a stop or from a slow down that's when I feel it the most.
I also noticed sometimes it works just fine. Also FYI, I have a sprintbooster installed so I don't know if that's causing some of my problems/frustration that I am having?
Your input is appreciated.

i would suspect that it might be a fuel pump failure. I've had that issue when trying to start from a dead stop. Have ur mechanic do a fuel pressure test. It should be about 50-60 psi at idle. But u also have a CEL, so that might be another issue. Lower fuel pressure or failing fuel pump usually won't cause a CEL.
cheers~

Frank, I think you are right. I borrowed an OBD from a buddy from work and it's showing P0121 which showing a throttle response error.
How to fix this and how much?

Ok, I will try to take out the sprintbooster and see how my car respond. Dang thing is gimmicky if you ask me.
If the problem is still happening I'll go with the new pedal assembly. Which is about the same price as the Sprintbooster!

white and whiter
I rather pay the same for a nice pair of Prada (or better, multiple pairs of PUMAs)to stump on the gas pedal instead.

Sad part Frank is that I'm actually a pretty big guy (6'0 240 lbs. former linebacker) and have a heavy foot. If I knew more about Sprintbooster and not fall for the gimmick I wouldn't have this problem...Lesson learned indeed.
