C55 fog light under warranty?

So I was driving yesterday and it was getting dark so I turned on my lights and fog lights and I get an error that Left Fog Light is having issues. I get out and look and the whole front of the light is gone and the bulb is not there either. I'm guessing something hit it but I can't recall where.

Is this covered under the manufacturers warranty? I'm guessing not because its road wear and not the cars fault. How much should I expect to pay at the dealership tomorrow?

I drove my old car into a wall at 300 mph and the f'ing stealership would not cover it by warranty. Them *******s.

The fog lights are not covered. However if you have glass coverage on your car you can submit a claim to your insurance company. I had to do this twice. I did not have to pay a deductible and i was reimbursed for my expenses on the replacement of the lights.

Unfortunately no glass coverage. Think it would be cheaper for me to replace it myself? Any good sites to purchase a replacement?

The dealership wants $239.64 for the assembly, that seems way to high for one fog light. There has to be a cheaper place to buy replacement parts.

I should really use the search function more. So I was reading and it looks like its a common problem when you have your fog lights on in the rain.

If you have them on in the rain, they will break. its the cold water on the hot lens that does it...youll end up with a circular crack on the center of lens itself.

How is that not a warranty issue?
