DIY Rim Repair?...oh and rear caliper question
ok. i'm trying to postpone thinking about my mcat tomorrow (21st of Aug
) so i'm going to post this prematurely.i have the stock C32 rims. the aluminum alloy finish or whatnot. i also have some "scuffs" here and there that a family member of mine "added" to the car several yrs ago which up to this point i have just tried to ignore......
....but the time has come, and its pissing me off looking at my rims like that. so i heard there is a way you can fix some minor scuffs yourself. found the link.
what do you guys think: http://www.bmwtips.com/tipsntricks/w...uff-repair.htm
1) will this method work for our rims?
2) if so, is that the correct paint? or is there a different paint needed to touch up the rims?
Next issue
rear calipers. things are hideous. unfortunately, my performance oriented budget and limited funds from med school application associated stuff prevents me from just getting a new brake kit......so, with that in mind....
i searched through our forum for pics of painted calipers, and was not entirely successful.
what would look best on brilliant silver c32, stock rims?
1) red painted calipers? so i paint front and back
or
2) silver? so i just paint the back to match the front?
and if this one
2a) what paint is it to match the front?
anyone have pics of both front and back painted calipers with stock rims? i've searched and only really seen front calipers painted red.
TIA!

The Wurth color matched the OEM BMW shade of silver, but I don't think it'll be quite as bright as the Merc finish.
I've also had an Audi RS4 wheel done professionally. It looks like the rest but chips easily. If I had the chance to do it again I would have lived with the original curb rash.
Gl on the MCAT-afterwards, you can buy whatever you want, so I say sell the C32 and buy an E55.
MD's always look baller in bigger sedans
