I been dealing with a lame steering wheel for some time now. I can take the wheel with two hands and move it slightly side to side, I mean shift it side to side not turn it. Also my tilt only goes up and down maybe an inch at best. I got a service appointment at the dealer on Tuesday. What I'm wondering, has anyone or does anyone have this problem on their car?

That Sucks!
If it like my Porsche there is a plastic bearing (casing is plastic, bearings are metal) that gets brittle and may need to be changed?
.
Or…![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)

It could be you’re holding on way to tight, hanging on for dear life, from the face distorting torque of your AMG Supercharger!

Hooley
mine is all messed up. doesnt go side to side, but it moves very very slowly up and down, only about an inch. and sometimes when i turn the car on it clicks in park and reverse, and then when i put it into drive, it stops. sometimes, it doesnt stop and i just have to hope it stops in the next minute or so lol.

I feel like im going to break every time I get out of the car I am actually surprised mine is still working well. It just doesn't feel right putting my body weight on the wheel while getting out of the car and it's moving up.

It feels like something is loose inside, where the collum meets the dash area. I've got a warranty so I know it will get fixed. I'm just wondering if anyone else has this problem. As I've never heard of it.
