Pulley and intake noise

Anyone know how much louder the supercharger whine is with a Eurocharged intake or similiar intake? Anyone know if there are whine differences between the 178 and 185 pulleys in conjunction with the aforementioned intake?

Still trying to decide...I am likely a minority on this topic, but I kind of want to limit the noise and am curious how much sound difference there will be between the two pulleys. thanks all

the 185 should whine more......185 is more boost than a 178 so you should get a louder and more pronounced supercharger whine

however, without the code3 intake, it wont be extremely loud so the difference should be relatively negligible with the intake you are getting

Pulley doesnt make a "whine" difference. The true whine sound comes from the Code 3 intake that runs against the firewall. Its loud.

lol i know. i used to have that intake. but when you compare the code3 pulley with the 185 pulley on my SL55 intake, you hear more of a supercharger whine with the 185

FYI to future searchers. Running a 185mm on stock intake...I do not notice any difference in whine...which is good. I'll repost once I try out another intake option

There's an LET intake thread with Jake's car in a vid with sound... same for Code 3 Performance and Brandon's car. You can decide if you like either vs. the way it sounds now stock.

I noticed a slight increase in supercharger sound switching to the 185MM, but really not too noticeable... Definitely the big difference in sound is a rear intake similar to the C3P intake. Custom built one last night, and it turned out good. If I could go back would probably drill less holes in the air splitter plate though...
