HK rear speaker buzzing

HK rear speaker buzzing
(Yes, I did a search and didn't see any concrete explanation of a fix, so I'm hoping someone on here has an easy explanation.) 
My C55's rear speaker assembly (the "sub" in the driver's side parcel shelf) is buzzing/vibrating on basically any bass level. My search revealed that some people installed Dynamat in the parcel shelf area, but no specific areas were mentioned.
I wouldn't rule out a blown speaker in my case, however, because it kind of sounds like that. I'm not an audio kind of guy, so I don't really understand the 'sub' layout. It looks like there's two sides to the speaker: the orange upward-firing speaker and the larger, downward-firing (passive?) speaker. Are they attached to each other? If so, could they be rattling against each other? (I removed the speaker grille and inspected the foam surround of the lower speaker--looks intact.)
Any help is appreciated!

I had a similar issue with my HK system, but it was on the passenger side rear . Dealer replaced the speaker, and it's been fine for acoustic music, but still rattles (can't tell where) when on AM radio/talk.
Very annoying. I also had issues with the stereo going dead for a day, then come back on. They replaced the amp, but that's not a fix. Something screwy going on with the HK system on a number of levels.
