Supercharger off to Kleemann - Pics
So the Kleemann blower has been pulled off for inspection/fixing for Kleemann in Colorado springs; I have since cleaned the whole engine bay, drained fluids and pulling off wheels, brakes for a good refinish and cleaning.
Since its November, she will be left in the garage getting setup for some fun in the early spring.
Figured I would snap a few photo's of the rebuild process as I recieve stuff back.
A video of the twinscrew's doing their thing too (and the grinding sound of the front pulley area, the failure from the pulley torquing)

Hopefully you guys will see some video's of her running strong again soon!

Looks just like mine
What size is your pulley and how much boost? I read that you were running 10psi but can you confirm?
I had a 65mm pulley on my previous HPS supercharger which too small for the Magnusson blower and caused the shaft to crack. The bearings were also had to be replaced.
I'm also a bit fearful of it happening again when I run 12-14psi on my Kleemann using a smaller pulley as well. The smaller the pulley the more stress the belt puts on your pulley shaft since the belt needs to be tighter to prevent slippage based on what I've been told.
That's why I am having the crank pulley enlarged slightly combined with a slightly smaller SC pulley.

more like 8-9psi ... the stock was 6psi. The pully I have is smaller, 70mm vs 75stock ; my Dyno Dynamics Wheel HP was 441RW, 454RW TQ @ 10.9-11.1 A/F
I was always running pretty rich, but that has a lot to do with the kleemann tune. When I did the Eurocharge US 41 event a few months back we hooked up the wideband down some of the runs and I was holding a solid 10.9 A/F but still was able to pop off a 12.109 @ 117.12mph on Michelin Pilot street tires.
This next year I will be running a set of slicks, which should significantly help my drag times ... pulling me def into the 11's but i dont know if i can edge out Mike's Dynocomp. I know our HP numbers are really close, but his torque is nearly 50LB more, giving him a stout launch when it hooks.
I have a about everything possible though for the C55 Kleemann and assesories, dont think its getting much faster ;P (maybe if a 110lb person drives )

wonder if your getting some heatsoak before your runs, @ 482rwhp on dynamics i would think you would be in low 120's; need to get access to the track one day when your car can sit cool for a bit then start up and be first to run.
Bet you pop off a crazy number

I going to remove my primary cats and hit the dyno again. Dyno-Comp has been getting some good local biz as of late. So i've been putting taking the cats off for a while.

So it looks like both C55's make the same horsepower on the same boost? Did you both run on 100 Octane tunes as well?
That's impressive for both cars to make 482rwhp on a Dyno Dynamics.
Why don't you both get dyno numbers on a Dynojet since that is the standard benchmark. Assumming Dyno Dynamics make 10% less than DynoJet then both your cars put out 530rwhp!!!!
That's MORE than MOST MODDED E55s and ALL MODDED 63s
I think both of our cars are capable of breaking into the 10's under the right conditions and with the right wheel setup.
I'm planning on getting two separate tunes on two separate ECUs so I can just swap them out when I take it to the track or drags. One will be a 109 map and the other standard 91 map.

I think you are reading it wrong. Alumar's 482 was on a dynojet. My 482 was on a dyno-dynamics.

Mike, your torque doesn't make sense. How can it be 100 more than rwhp when most 55s whether NA or SC'd makes about the same number?
Are you sure your torque limiter working properly? I think your tranny might be taking quite a beating no?

I cant really pin point why my torque is so high. Maybe all of us just dont know as much as we think we know about the AMG supercharger??
It could me the stock C55 cams building big power down low..
All I know is its fun to drive, even though I drive very slow.

85 lbs is about right. Yepper, thats the older style "autorotor" Kleemann design and they (autorotor) are no longer in business. Wonder what they can do for you or it??? Cory has said that the autorotor is the better design.

+1, I'll set the S7 on Cruise at about 58 MPH and just let em all pass me by!!!(full well knowing that I could smoke just about anyone at any time!!!)

Any faster over 60mph the drone will crush your skull in my car. Needs fixing ASAP. If its to loud for me, its just about to loud for everyone.
OT kinda: I got a thumbs up today by an M3 driver and then 10 min later a thumbs down by a 325 driver. I just laughed as he scooted on past me.
