I wasn't very good with the Search button either , And I still struggle with it. I spelled it once like SOLINOID. Now that will get you places. No Harm ment
I recently had this work done . It appears the dealer charged me for 6 of 001-989-68-03-10. Search alot and read away. Damn spell check anyway

Guys I'm thinking of putting together a group buy for my shift kit.
My currant setup involves the updated blue top solenoids for the valve body. and a tweeked & tuned TCU.
Their are two ways I can do this. I can supply the MB blue top solenoids, or you can buy them from the dealer yourself. I can offer a competitive price to what the dealer charges.
Then your TCU will need to be shipped to Dyno-Comp to be flashed.
I will say this though: The TCU tune will yield minimal effects if done alone. The currant "brown top" solenoids in the C55 can not flow the added pressure the TCU adds. When mated with the MBZ "Blue top" valves and the C55 TCU. the shifts are crazy. Up and down shift.
This will for sure make your transmission come alive with firm, deliberate shift and clutch engagment. It will also drop transmission temp due to less friction. Over all making your transmission last a bit longer. Not to mention it will let your transmission handle upwards of 600hp from the engine.
Anyway I'm just feeling if there is an interest form the C55 guys. Price is TBA, but it will be very resonable.

Mike, if I have an 06 C55, doesnt it already have the Blue Tops and can I just get the TCU tune done??? Tell me what I have to do then???
What kind of labor charges are we looking at here for those of us who don't have a garage to do work in

This is exactly where I am, I really don't want to take the valve body out just to find out it already has the blue tops. I guess at that point I could try to justify it by knowing I put in a new filter and fresh fluid.
Phil, get a data card for your car and if it has the trans #, you can figure out of you have the blue tops or brown. The older C55s based on prod date had the brown like the C32s. I think all the E 55s had the blue.

I'm lifting this one a bit.
Do you think my shifting problems could have to do with that the stock solenoids are to weak?
My engine is pushing near 800 NM now and is having some slipping on 2nd gear and between 3-4th gear. And now it's in limp home mode in 2nd gear
I'm really interested in trying out the blue top solenoids to see if they make any difference? Thanks for any help!
(I have a 2001 E55 with a S/C BTW)
