Pics of my new rotors
Hi guys, I haven't had a chance to install these yet, but I am extremely pleased with how they look and feel. Thought I'd share a few close ups of them before I put them on. They're Racing Brake two piece open slotted rotors. Seven pounds lighter (each) than the stockies. Enjoy.

Here's the website. They also have drilled and slotted rotors as well. They are kind of expensive, but I think it's worth it for the weight savings. Also, they claim that the rotors will last three times longer than a one piece rotor. When they do need to be changed they will sell you just the ring part for less. I looked at it as being more expensive than an OEM rotor, but a lot cheaper than a full brake kit.

I thought about getting them, but ended up getting Zimmerman's because of the cost. Which I just installed them this weekend. It was a very easy install. Looks great man. What pads are you going to use with them? Please post pics once you install them.

I should be able to get them on by Wednesday and I'll have an install / review up that night. After a ridiculous amount of stressing over it, I finally decided to go with Akebono pads. Mike at RacingBrake actually recommended against ceramics, but there's just a huge lack of non-ceramic performance pads for our cars. From all the posts I sifted through Akebono seemed to be pretty kind to rotors so I just pulled the trigger.

I really like the RacingBrake rotors. I am thinking of going to them when I have to replace mine. I will go with slotted but not sure about the open slotted. Let us know how you like them and performance. Great lookers!

Will do. Right now, I'm struggling getting the OEM rotor off of the drivers side. I soaked it with WD 40 and am letting it soak in overnight. Hopefully that does the trick.

I had the same problem with the driver's side rotor. The passenger came off very easy, however the driver's side was a PITA. I used WD 40 as well and hitting it with a mallet left to right and also from the back.

Here's some pics of the install. Sorry about the dirty wheel! The passenger side was a cinch to swap. The driver's side OEM disc however, was so seized on the hub, I had to soak it with WD-40 overnight.
I used Akebono pads (previously had OEM) and have experienced incredible results. Much better then I was expecting. I honestly thought there wouldn't be all that much difference all around. I was wrong. They feel like a completely different set of brakes. The increased bite is very noticeable. The braking is firm and smooth to a complete stop with absolutely no fade. Even after half an hour of "spirited" driving there was only a slight amount of noticeable brake fade.
I have read a lot about unsprung weight and I can tell you it's true. I can feel the car getting off the line quicker and the acceleration you feel during heavy down shifts is noticeably greater. As for cornering, it's hard for me to gage whether there is a difference or not. It feels real good, but that could just be in my head.
All in all, I am very happy that I decided to go this route and would recommend these rotors to anyone who wants an upgrade, but doesn't want to get a whole new system.

I hate to say this, but based on your pics and the directions shown on the RacingBrake website I think you have the rotors facing the wrong way. You want to have the vanes pointed (not the slots) so they open to the back of the car and not towards the front as I believe I was able to tell from your pics.
Take a 2nd look at the direction and the website instructions also.
I hope I am not misleading you. I am certainly not trying to do so, but I thought I would bring it up so you could swap them side to side while they are still nearly new, if improperly installed.

If the calipers are mounted to the rear of the fender well, then you do have them on correctly and I apoligize for the grief I may have caused you.
