Anyone get ESP fault after washing car?
I've got a strange one. The last few times I've washed my car, after I get in to go drive it around the block to shake the hidden water out I've been getting an ESP fault warning visit workshop. The ESP triangle light doesn't come on and the ESP still works (I tried it to make sure! ). I actually washed my car on Monday night and it sat all day Tuesday and the message was on when I drove to work this morning. I checked with my code reader and there weren't any codes, but I believe these code scanners can only read ECM/TCM codes. After I restart the car the warning goes away, but I think only after the car is warmed up a bit (I can't remember for sure how it was last time). I don't know if it happens in the rain because I don't drive my car in the rain. Has anyone ever experienced this? I've still got CPO warranty for another year, but I don't want to have to have the dealer get the car wet to diagnose this because I spent about 8 hours on my paint getting it darn near perfect.

A blocked drain valve can allow water to enter the vehicle interior and/or fuse box causing electrical malfunctions corrected by removing both drain nozzles.
Have the dealer confirm your VIN is included and the campaign has not already been completed the repair in its entirety will be at no cost.
