I'm thinking about giving this a try. If the paddles off of a 171 chassis will fit on my OEM steering wheel, then I think the electrical connection should not be too big of an issue. I imagine that the switches connected to the shifter are either a normally open or normally closed switch, or operating the shifter will send a signal...either way, it should not be too hard to tap into these wires.

Add C-S-M Button to center console [/QUOTE]
I know this is old thread but I am trying to find just the CSM button and they all seem to be part of a whole board. Does anyone have details and pictures of one that has been added?

Hi
you will need a new TCU EGS52 version. The module needs to be re-program with MC/S. The great shifter you have, assuming your vehicle is a C55 AMG, will accommodate such functions. However, you can buy the module for the gear-shifter which has the MC/S on the select button (i.e., W209-267-0288 DLXL01 Q1)Besides this, your steering will obviously need to have the paddles embedded, steering column needs to be comparable.
