Sudden loss of gas mileage

when i was in the south the gas mileage was normal like 18 mpg in city and 23 highway.. but when i got up north and with all the snow and stuff the mpg has droped down to 14mpg and less... i left the car warming up for like 25 minutes and the mpg dropped to 6mpg......
i was wondering if any one know if the supercharger and the super cold air that its pushing into the engine has anything to do with this crap of mpg.....
the check engine light is NOT ON.. ohh i drive 2003 C32.. help if you can?

I don't know if this applies to your situation, but when I replaced my intercooler pump and replaced the fluid, my gas mileage went from 23+ mpg down to 18 mpg.

Well for one, consider what u did. And I'm not trying to be mean, just trying to point out the obvious.

If you idle the car say for one hour and it theoretically uses 1/3 of a gallon idling. Now lets say you drive one mile subsequently, I think your MPG is going to be pretty low.

.33/1= 3.03 MPG.

And then consider all the extra rolling resistance and sludge you have to drive through further reducing your rolling efficiency, I'd also imagine milage would go down.

cars get less mpg in cold weather - you can use google for reasons why.

You are lucky that you are getting 14+! I get around 10 - 11 MPG! I also get around 5-6 MPG after start up too. either i have a leak in my gas tank or just the calculation is incorrect.....
