I think he meant to say "cheap wheels if you want to have a spare set for drag tires but aren't extremely serious about your times"

And he is also using the 20lb ones.

Mike,
What size rear tires are you using on these 16" wheels?

I use a 255x50x16 drag radial. I've used Micky Thompson and Hoosiers. there are some 18" options out there as well.

Quite the contrary, I respect everything he does. Just don't want some joeshmo running in here claiming bs about them being heavy and bla bla bla bla bla.

I'm not a racer, I'm a fan

Thanks so much for the tip Hooley!

I found some used Mickey Thompson ET Streets on Craigslist. 255-50-16. Only had 100 miles on them and never at the track. They guy had a Supercharged Mustang Cobra putting out 475RWHP and these were just too skinny for him.
So he let them go for $200 and I picked up the 16" wheels that you have.
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&initialP artNumber=CD675511235S&wheelMake=Sport+Edition&whe elModel=CD&wheelFinish=Silver+Painted&showRear=no& autoMake=Mercedes-Benz&autoModel=C240+Sedan&autoYear=2005&autoModCla r=&filterSize=16&filterFinish=All&filterSpecial=fa lse&filterBrand=All&filterNew=All&sort=Brand&PID=3 196516&AID=10398365&

Just weighed them and they come in at 49.5 lbs each. Not sure what OEM comes in at.

Now, my Custom Dyno tune on Saturday then it's off to the Track!!
