Newbie poster alert
Starting up my C55 in the parking lot after a dash into the store--we were hit with full blasting radio--all static, so loud as to have us exit the car. Turning the key to off didn't stop the static. This was crazy.....
I've had issues with the sound system since I got the car in 2005, replaced all speakers, but still had problems. But this, this was pure madness. Wondering if there is a bigger problem...advice please

I have this happen to me about once a year. Radio plays extreme static. CD changer is fine. I turn the command on/off a few times doesn't help. Even if I turn the car off and on it doesn't help. But turn the car off for the night and each and every time its back to normal the next day-and problem free for another year or so. It's the MB gremlins hard at work.
