ODPS installed overseas.
My friends Rs4 has also been chipped and has now 420 HP. Even with the ODPS kit I do not have a chance keeping up with him.
I just wonder about the lifetime of such a 'small' 2,7 l engine with so much HP.
Apparently the mechanic didn't seal the small clamps properly, if so that would be his "fault" not actually a design issue. Simple tightening would probably do the trick. If so, "no harm no foul".
More than 1 users found slow leakage after certain period of drive.
The mechanic check it and he advice to "recap" the coolant outlet
by a solid plug, Al.(shown in the pic)
He's going to recall all ODPS users here no matter they've read
the coolant low level alarm or not.
I read that alarm yesterday, 3 weeks after my last coolant level check.
It's fine to be guard by the level sensor of coolant tank once you
read that low level alarm, fill it up w/o harm to the engine.
The way your mechanic has adapted a new clamp to it is not the correct way to fix his mistake. You now have to clamps, including 1 that will eventually rust and leak.
Most likely, the recall by your mechanic will allow him to fix a previous error of not tightening the plug properly. The plug is rated to withstand temperatures in excess of 400 degrees Fahrenheit. The kits that are leaking are a result of not being properly tightened. If you need new clamps, send Vadim@evosport.com an email, and he will get some replacements sent out to you.
Thanks,
Ben

Ben, thanks for help.
