Ok another thing to add to the list.
By this time i should of have bought the Extended warranty and I would of have paid it off.
Anyways..
I need to get a new Ac kompressor for my car. Everywhere im looking its going to be pretty close to $1,000.
I am wondering if the c55's ac kompressor is the same as all other w203 models.
Anyone know?
Maybe I can get it from other cars that got totaled?

Are you sure its the compressor? Maybe theres a leak like mine did?

From what I've seen all w203 AC compressors aren't the same. They all have different numbers and with your engine being a V8 that makes sense. It looks like the C32 compressor isn't even the same as the c320. It's too bad because the regular w203 unit is on ebay for $219. The Parts.com had the C55 compressor for $793.

Keep in mind that these are rebuilt units so you can get them cheaper. You should actually inquire at your local dealer first for the prices. If you go just by what websites like parts.com say you get incorrect info.

how do you know its your compressor?
Does the A/C come on at high speed?
Do you hear a click when you turn the A/C off and on?

does it just not blow cold air? you might just need a recharge. I havent really heard of ac compressors going bad. Even on older w203's. Why don't you try just getting it rebuilt. Its going to be a lot cheaper then to buy a njew one.

My friend that works at a car place told me one day that he saw my kompressor was leaking oil... So about a wwek later my ac stoped blowing cold air..
price quote for a new AC kompressor from mercedes and getting installed at a shop is gonna be around $1000.
Do you think I can recharge it and it will work?
