Considering a 2003 Mercedes-Benz C32 AMG Sedan
Any thoughts on this car? Are they problematic, or if it's well-maintained (and I continue to maintain it) will it be "reliable"?
Are there any tips one would have about owning a car like this?
What would you say the expected cost of maintenance is?
I really appreciate your input.
Common problems are leaky radiator, seat control modules draining the battery, intercooler pump going bad. If your buying from a MB dealership i suggest extended mb warranty.
The engine and tranny itself is dead reliable from amg. The accessories from bosch and valeo, not so much.
Just keep in mind maintence on this car will be a lot more then your camry, but it'll put a bigger smile on your face then your camry =).
If your a Diy'er or have extended warranty you should be ok.

Thanks for your response! It was very helpful.
Good luck on your hunt, its a good time to buy a car if you can afford it.

Engine & Transmission 2thumbs up for reliability =]
when i got mine, the main thing that i needed to replaces is I/C pump and seat module splicing lol other than that, CARS a BEEAASSSTTT!
I'm not really a DIYer. Don't have the tools, space, or skill for that. Kinda makes me wonder if this car might be a bit beyond me.
