Did you have any luck with EC? I am having a similar issue and my ECU is going back to them on Monday.

I had some lean issues, but got them fixed when EC had a dyno tune day. It looked OK at first, but then I had them do a run in 4th gear(giving more load) and the lean condition showed and was adjusted accordingly.

Haven't had any lean problems since.
