My c32 vs GTR
Mugenx and I met up with some of his buddies to go canyon running tonight.
It was a combination of evos, gtr, civic si's. It was a great run. I was very impressed how well the GTR handled in the smaller tighter canyons.
Anyways, I wanted to see how the car performed on the highway. The GTR is completely stock except a X pipe. He also had 3 other ppl in the car, I had mugenx in the passenger seat.
We started from a 65mph roll, I was in third gear. We gunned it and straight off the bat he had a bumper lead. Then about every 10mph he slowly walked away. At 110mph, i was basically in his rear quarter panel and falling away.
All i have to say is the GTR is a beast, both on the highway and canyons.
MODS: EC 185mm cranky pulley. Code 3 intake mod, code3 heat exchanger, Johnson PUmp intercooler, EC headers, EC tune (but running rich) so i lost a little power. I need a retune bad.
(warning, the story is a work of fiction and took place in mexico.)

Im surprised you even held up that long. I've seen vids of modded c63's getting walked by stock GTR's. With few mods GTR's are running low 11's high 10's.

i need to run him again.. I got a dyno a day or two after because the car didn't seem much faster after the headers and i'm running super LEAN. 15 afr.
Its killing my hp, I'm surprised I didn't blow up my engine running him.
I dynoed 337whp and 354wtq. Basically almost the same as my code3 set up.
I'm working with EC to try to fix this.

Thats the only thing I don't like about going FI is the tuning. My eclipse was pushing 20psi on the stock turbo and it ran really lean one night and it blew up :/
Get that beast fixed!

I think you do need a retune to pick up some more juice.
I don't have headers, heat exchanger, and a 185 mm pulley but
Tony (LET) managed 336 rwhp.

i need more fuel bad. I'm running so lean, i'm driving the car like i'm driving over glass. Unfortunately, this car is my dd so i have to drive it. Hopefully the motor will hold up until i get a tune.

It seems no solution for this LEAN issue with 185mm puley.i installed the eurocharged 185mm 2 years ago and since i bought a file from PS chiptuning the AFR was 14.7 from 5000 to 6200 rpm.than tried 5 another files from the same tuner and bad results than i bought LET tune and have the same issue .5months ago ,i asked Jerry if there is a better file,he replied that he has a perfect one but i have to pay extra $250.i did it but still the car running lean at high revs.now i am waiting for a new file from Jerry,i hope will see good results ,if not i will install the 178mm pulley and i am sure the car will be faster.

Damn, nice (fictional) run. How much HP does the Xpipe give the GTR?
BTW, you started the race at just about the worst possible speed for the C32 (65 MPH is the very bottom of 3rd). Should've started from 40 (meat of second gear) or 80 (meat of 3rd).
Anyhew, nice to see that a nearly decade old design can hang with state of the art.

To the OP:
Congrats on the run against the GTR. Those cars are simply, awesome, and will be in my barn, shortly. With a few mods and a tune, one can easily make 700+ whp!
Regarding your tune, I have had many tunes from EC (b/c of my cars history; ie development of stacked pullies, and single pullies), and I can tell you first handedly that the BEST tune and the most power this car had EVER made, with a conservative tune (ie good afr's), was from Jeremy (aka the Benz Master Tuner) at PowerChip.
Larger injectors (ie Fuel) isn't the issue with our cars. Why? B/c I have run larger injectors and tune - with NO gains.
Feel free to PM me.
My car makes a healthy and consistent 370/370 whp/wtq on shorty headers, and is daily driven

I think all these mail in tunes are total junk. In the honda world, $500 and you get a custom dyno tune. $500-600 in a Mercedes, you get junk tunes that run either too rich or too lean.
