Question Time to replace the brake pads.....

After reading the posts, it looks like Akebono Euro Ceramic Pads are the way to go. I've owned the car for close to 4-years and looks like it's time. Anyhow,
I've done brake work on otther cars and pretty straight forward. Is there only one sensor on these (front passenger side- and can you reuse the sensor or do you suggest buying a replacement sensor)? Looks like with shipping from tirerack, I'm looking at $150 shipped.

... are always a good time.
Excellant timing becuae I need pads too. I have done pads many many many times and every once in awhile I need a special tool on a different car. For instance, my 99 Suburban needed a special socket to get the calipers off.

Does the C32 need anything special? Would like to just lift the car and get it done.

Thanks!

Miguel

did my pads and rotors last week. Had a sensor only on the passenger side. You can reuse the existing sensor as long as it hasn't been tripped yet. Otherwise, they are only about 6 bucks a piece

How do the rotors come off? I tool the wheels off, and the little alan head bolt - but the rotors won't budge. I'm assuming a little rust is in there.

beat it with a hammer until you give up or the rotor comes off.

Unfortunately. E1000 is right. I had to beat each of mine with a 5lb hammer for 30 min. Spraying some liquid wrench around the hub will help also.

Yes, sometimes you have to reach for BFH to get them off. I know I have

Some Break Free/WD40, etc... around the hub will be a big help. Had to hammer quite a bit on mine as well.
