Passenger Standing & Tail Lamp Stay On
I know this is a message from my car but I cannot find my decoder ring. When I locked the car tonight using the remote, the passenger side standing lamp and the passenger side tail lamp continued glowing and glowing for a couple of hours now. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Thanks in advance to the informative members here!

NVM - Found my decoder ring!
This indicated someone had turned the headlights off of Auto and continued turning the light switch selector beyond "0" the next counter clockwise position. I returned it to Auto and the mystery light condition disappeared.

I thought that we had a feature that keeps the turn signal on when you are going to be parked on the side of the road for an extended period of time. It involves turning the light switch either left or right. I just leave my switch on auto.

We do have that feature and that is exactly what this was! There are two positions counter clockwise from "O" (Off) that turn on only one side or the other and keep them on after the car is locked. It is not very well documented but it is noted in the manual. I also leave the switch on AUTO but there are three drivers in the house and once in a very great while someone else drives the AMG who is less set in their ways.
