Hey guys, got an issue with my C55 now. Lately, I noticed that my fuel gauge hasn't really been working right. My trip meter would reach about 200 miles and the needle would only point to half empty and I knew that that had to be wrong. Driving home Saturday night, the needle dropped from half empty to fully empty and the range indicator on the digital screen said "---". Has anyone here with had issues like this? What was the fix? Thanks.

I just had this problem with my c32 03 yesterday. I put in a half tank, car still showed empty. Put in $10, went to 1/4 tank where it should be. I thought the pump at the station didnt work. I then went to a different station, filled up until it was full.

Car had 16 gallons in it, and car read under 3/4 full. I let the car sit for a few hours and then when I started the car it was full.

:/

I had an issue where the fuel gauge would read empty anytime i got to approx 1/4 tank, and then read 3/4 after a full fillup. Leaving the car overnight usually fixed the issue until the next time it dropped below 1/4 tank.

I fixed it by putting a bottle of Chevron total fuel system cleaner in the tank for two tanks in a row. Never had the issue again for the following 2 years when i sold the car. I did use top tier fuel only however after this issue for the better cleaner additives.
