So, what else do you drive?
1982 VW Caddy AKA Rabbit Pickup
45hp 1.6L diesel
4+E - 5 speed transmission
rare options - A/C and Power steering
It is in VA right now getting a canadian spec 1.9L TD rated for 75 HP installed (feel the power!)

And runs on Veggie
I own a company that is currently shutdown doing Veggie Conversions. My 300D ran on veg and was going to buy a 1999 E300 TurboDiesel before I decided I wanted something a little more powerful.

Will post some pics later when I can find them of the sweet Caddy

B16A1 - Forged internals, custom Full Race turbo setup, TEIN coilovers.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

It's one of the reasons a nice 1998 911 is $35k and a nice 1999 is $16k. The whole engine block is weak and a bit of a cheap design, the turbo cars have a different block and design and don't have issues. There is a company that makes a fix for the bearing and support, but it's about $3k installed. I would say a must vs. losing a whole engine.
This whole scenario is the reason there is a C55 in my garage today and not a used 911. I told my wife, I couldn't live with the thought that every time I got in my car I would have to wonder if today would be the day we just lost $15k because my engine blew up.
I would suspect that Ferry Porsche is still spinning in his grave at 10,000 rpm. He would have never allowed his name on such a substandard POS. It would have been corrected very early on if he were still alive.

I think I might go test drive some cars today. Any other recommendations?
There's lots of older stuff, but then you just start rebuilding everything and not driving.

1995 Taurus SHO w/350k miles (daily driver/beater)
1991 Ford F-350 w/98k miles
1966 Mustang coupe (my first car)
2006 C55 w/80k miles, Diamond Black
oh...and 1978 Ford 2600 tractor :-)

Its always interesting when you throw a movie quote out there and people just give you weird looks.
My C55 is my one and only (for now). I'm not sure what kind of car I will end up getting next, or when, but I've taken a liking to the MB.
