Current: C217 V12TT AMG Previously: C55 AMG, SL65 AMG
So, what else do you drive?
I'm curious to see what my fellow C32/C55 owners also have in their garage. I have the [dumb] idea of buying another car so I can split the miles between this one and another one (and have the ability to drive or not drive the AMG depending on where I go). But, it'd have to be a car that is/has: good reliability, manual trans, fun to drive, doesn't make me feel like I'm hopping into a POS after I jump out of the C55, 2005 or newer, and under $15k.
Right now I'm thinking of an 05-06 Mini Cooper S (white with black stripes would offset the black Mercedes). Power to weight ratio sounds great, and due to the size and suspension it's supposedly a very fun car. The gf liked this car first, so after researching some it seems like it might be a very fun car to own in addition to the C55.

heres a pic of the C32's partner in crime =] taken last friday July 2nd. on my way to the city, pulled over at the Marina Park in Berkeley.
my first car and first love 1992 Fairlady Z and up till now she still gets major attention both good and bad
and every once in a while i get "i want to buy your car" post it on my window lol
car is super awesome to drive, and it def has more driver aid and credibility. def a whole different kind of beast compared to an AMG.
its intriguing how you brought up the Cooper S, because I myself am VERY interested on picking one up as well...
ALSO taking into consideration a damn Brabus Smart!

The most fun vehicle I have ever owned. 0-60 in an hour but unbelievable fun off the road and on the road with the top off. I get compliments galore with it too. I always liked the CJ Jeep and Wrangler but there seemed to never be deals on them. The hick-up in the auto industry in 2008/09 presented very attractive pricing and I bit.....
A year into ownership, I could trade this is for what I paid for it! Resell values on these hold solid unlike my 32.

My second car is constantly changing. I find a fun or sometime's stupid car that I've always liked / wanted and buy them. Most of them are cars I thought were cool when I was growing up. When I get sick of them or want to free up some cash I sell em. I take my time and usually end up making a few bucks. I'm not talking about expensive new cars or anything, usually high mileage and less than $8k. Some cars I've had in the last five years:

I don't drive the C55 in the rain so my other vehicle is a 2002 Trailblazer, bought it with 94k miles for $7k! Came with all the options but the heated seats.

Viper I have the perfect car for you - Chrysler Crossfire SRT6! They are selling dirt cheap right now and have a replica (Mercedes design and engine but Chrysler built) C32 engine. You can definitely find one under $15K if you look around.
And - if you are going to be using it as an alternative Benz you probably don't need one with super low miles.

You gotta love the south. 94K and that truck is still in beautiful shape. In the north east it's so hard to find cars like that.
