Aho had black stockers on his car. His car isnt white but he did have them on it while it was silver then he painted it blue.

I dont know if his were painted or powder coated but the latter is the more durable way for sure.

Originally all silver and polished lip. Had these powdercoated. The finsif is so much smoother and thicker than painted rims making making it easier to clean.

Does powder coating affect the strength of the rims?

No, not at all. I've had my OZ rims powdercoated for at least 7 years now without issue.

Well that depends . .. ...

I've seen Forged SSR rims fail because of the heat used when powder coating.

You need to go to a powdercoater who know what they're doing and that powdercoating is all they do. They need to know the effects of high temp treatment to a substrate. Typically, aluminum rims are placed in ovens at 380 - 400 degrees F. no more than ten minutes, not enough time to change the properties to break down or weaken.
I asked the owner questions first and assured me it was safe to go ahead with the process. His company had more than 50 workers in the production area and had 6 bedroom size walk-in ovens.

you mind telling me where you went and how much it cost you. I'm looking to powdercoat a set of wheels also in the Bay Area. Thanks. TC
