2006 C55 AMG
Need wire mesh inserts for front bumber!
All,
I just finished buying a 2006 C55 AMG (AWESOME CAR) but on my maiden voyage home from the dealer, not even 5 minutes into it I ran over a piece tire that was on the highway!!!! nooooooo!!!!
So now I have a mesh"less" (new/used) AMG... and it sux. Does anyone know where I can get these parts? I need the pieces of mesh that cover the fog light area and the one in the middle.
I do not want to pay dealer prices ~ 850 USD.
Thanks!

MBWorld Fanatic!
I have one that goes in the middle from a C32. There are two numbers, not sure which one is the part number (if not both?). A 203 885 00 53 & A 203 584 18 38.
Find out if it will fit your C55!
Let me know if you are interested.

Is this something you might be able to build and install yourself?
Depending on how handy you are and how much spare time you have this could be a nice little project for you.

They have some great options for the mesh there..whether you might want to use galvanized or something like stainless steel. Also if you want to make the mesh extra shiny, or even black in color, the stuff is easily spray painted to different colors.
Just a thought, let us know how this works out....
