I moved on...........
After 3 months of search, I went over to Denver over the weekend to pick up my new car n drove it back home last night. It was 13 hour drive but I enjoyed every seconds of it (3gb of mp3s are a must!)
2006 SLK55 fully loaded
Tires are pretty much finished.. Gotta replace those soon.
Here she is~~ :biglaugh: (Iphone pix)
Bug killa
Weather was perfecttt
As soon as I got home, I pressure washed the car to get rid of bugs and other things after long trip
And after 4 hours of washing, clay'n, washing, polishing, waxing, etc
I'm not completly satisfied with the result just yet. Black is very tricky color to keep it clean... Oh well..
:tu:
Couldn't be happier.... Now I just need to focus more on grad school..lol

I'm having a hard time seeing the photos, is there any way you can make them bigger?
But seriously, sweet car. Can you do a write up comparing the two vehicles? I will admit its hard to look at the photos of the front end before you washed it!

Go for it man!!!
I still have my C and to be honest, I think C would be a lot more practical and better for daily use.
No regrets though.. It's an amazing car..

To be honest, I raced against my friend in his slk55 before and its not too much quicker. Slk will pull slightly after 3rd gears... But then, it wasn't full out race.. haha
7spd's 1st and 7th gears are pretty much useless imo..
I did get avg of 25mpg though.. I think thats better than my C...

I like those but I can't recline the seat enough for my liking in one because I'm 6'4". I think the stock exhaust note is much nicer compared to the C55 (of course that was easily cured!). Fun car with the top down though! Keeping the C55, too?

PM ME
91RS,
Yes, I'm keeping the C SLK is a small car for sure. I do noticed that stock exhaust sounded more louder than C..Due to bigger tips perhaps? I onno..
Without resonator, its gonna sound like 63s.. haha

My friend has a SLK55. He removed the 2nd cats and not only it sounds much louder than stock but he also gained a couple HP!

Bump for nice car, I love the SLK 55, I see you got the front end "Bug splat" option anti-aerodynamic option.
Does it have the PP on it?? Whaddya pay for it??

Thanks
Are you talking about paint protector film (PPF)? If so, no.. Car was owned by retired couple in Colorado.. They didn't drive much at all

Congrats man! I almost picked one up with the 7speed...black as well. Tons of fun, great grip and that 7speed always finds itself in the power band when you stomp on it. Time for a clear bra? lol
