Good job Mike!!! Nice to see the S7s representing!! I have never been impressed with the R8 anyway, but thats just me!! I think even with a better driver you'd have gotten him. He was pretty strong off the digg though.
I hear with the R8s its sort of Punch it and just go!! Have you driven his car and how does it feel??
With this colder weather lately, my car has been an "animal".........I am sure yours is as well.

I have one with the camera in car on the speedo ... you actually see car hook @ 35mph, then at 60 the esp light starts blinking through 80mph ...so even mid track it was slipping

Yes, I was on 5/32 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 street tires
And yes, it was his first time ever at the track, i kinda blame myself for not giving him the DL on what exactly to do... so i cut him some slack for the first time

that's awesome, those are the tires i have, but it's not gonna get that cold for a while here in cali. btw, if any of you guys are in bay area california, l4p and myself are planning a caravan up to mazda laguna seca raceway from the 22nd-24th of october. no noise restrictions, so you'd be racing against the craziest of exotics.

Alumar - have you run on Drag Radials yet? Also take out as much extra wgt out of the car as possible...... spare tire, tools, floor mats, stuff in glove box..... we used to say 100lbs = .1 sec on 1/4 mile........ also .1 tench in 60' is 3* effect in 1/4 mile time....... or more.

Na haven't removed anything, and I Have had drag radials on it one time, but I wasn't driving so I lay no claim to the time: 11.78 @ 117.12; the guy driving weighted 165, whereas I am 265

V8 R8 isn't the best for the straight line performance.. Expected outcome 
I bet your friend wasn't happy with the results.. If his car was auto + launch control, race would've been closeeee.. I guess he didn't launch the car too hard either?
